About

Danio rerio, the zebrafish, is a two-inch striped minnow that a few thousand labs around the world depend on. The embryos are see-through, a female lays hundreds of eggs a week, and the adults regrow fins, retinas and even heart muscle. That makes them great for science and a reliable source of 7am alarms for the people who look after them.

d.rerio began in 2017 as a small shop of in-jokes for those people: Team Zebrafish, Knock Down, That Glows and 'S Cool. After a few years of sitting quietly in its tank, it's back. All four are back in stock, and other model organisms are on the way.

How it works

Everything is printed on demand by Printful at the facility closest to you, so nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing is made until you order it. Payments go through Stripe.
